Tommy Belisle of Quebec City scored 18 points as Canada defeated Japan 3-0 (25-23, 25-20 and 25-19) on Wednesday morning to finish in 11th place at the men’s world junior volleyball championships.

Junior Men at Junior Worlds

The Canadian junior men’s volleyball team won their first match against Poland Friday in the FIVB Junior World Championships, being held in Pune, India, from July 31 – Aug. 9. The team was competing in a very tough pool that included past gold medal winners Brazil, Russia and Poland.

Junior Men In Semi Final Action Friday Night

Canada’s Junior Men’s National Team will face Mexico Friday night at 6:00pm (CDT) in the first Semi-Final at the 2008 NORCECA Junior Men’s Championship in San Salvador.
