The City of Cambridge was formed almost 40 years ago. In that time, there has never been a competitive boys’ club volleyball team, according to Scorpions Volleyball Club founder Paul Langan.

Boys wanting to play volleyball at a higher level had to leave the city to do it. Now, the Scorpions have announced the members of its first competitive boys’ club team playing in the Ontario Volleyball Association.

The 15U team is coached by John Forman and assistant coach Jeff Schaeffer. The members are: Michael Dyer, Scott Claus, Stephen Boulanger, Maxwell Josic, Daniel Selmayer, Evan Rovenburg, Lucas Gear, Kogan Shantz, Ethan Louks, James Penwarden and Jacky Chen.
