Scorpions in Cambridge
Waterloo Region has a new volleyball club. Long-time sports volunteer Paul Langan has launched the Hespeler Scorpions Volleyball Club.
The club, a new member of the Ontario Volleyball Association, will offer the Spikes program to teach the basics of volleyball to boys and girls in Grades 4 to 8. It also will have a competitive program, starting this year with an under-15 girls team.
Tryouts for the competitive team start Sept. 17. More information about the Scorpions can be found at www.scorpionsvolleyball.ca.
