Hespeler Scorpions
An exciting new volleyball club has started up serving the youth of Cambridge and the Region of Waterloo. The Hespeler Scorpions Volleyball Club is now a member of the OVA and the new club will have two focuses.
The first is to teach youth volleyball to youth from Grades 4-8. It will be delivering the OVA SPIKES program. This program teaches the basics of volleyball in a fun and noncompetitive environment. The Scorpions Club will also have a competitive program.
This year they will enter an U15 girls team into OVA competitions. Founder Paul Langan states, “There is a great demand for volleyball in the Hespeler area of Cambridge where I live. Volleyball is growing in popularity and our volunteers are pumped to deliver a fun and exciting program for the youth.â€
