Child Heese Beach Camp
John Child and Mark Heese, Canada’s only Olympic volleyball medalists, are teaming up again to create the inaugural Child Heese Beach Camp, to be held at Toronto’s Ashbridge’s Bay from July 5-9.
The day camp, which will be designed for youth ages 13-18, will fittingly take place at the same beach that Child and Heese have competed and practiced on since the early 90’s. Ashbridge’s Bay has played host to many pro domestic and international events, and now will be home to the first edition of John and Mark’s very own camp.
“We have played many great matches at Ashbridge’s Bay over the years, so it just feels right to offer our new camp right here on our home beach. We look forward to finally sharing all we have learned over the last 20 years with the next generation of aspiring beach volleyball players”, added Child.
