Beach Volley Around the World (BVAW), the new amateur Beach Volleyball initiative to feature at SWATCH FIVB World Tour venues this year, should help provide a vital stepping stone to the SWATCH FIVB World Tour for countries that have struggled to make the transition from amateur to professional in the past, says BVAW Vice-President Mr Jose Salema.

The new initiative will see a three-day amateur tournament feature at each of the SWATCH FIVB World Tour events. A SWATCH FIVB World Tour star himself Mr Salema also said that it only needs a professional connection in a number of under-privileged nations to help create the spark for a new generation of global Beach Volleyball athletes from continents who are under-represented in the current competitions.
