She led the Trojans to two big wins over St. Mary and BCI in Leeds and Grenville Secondary School Athletic Association (LGSSAA) action Monday at GSS. An aggressive overhand serve from Miyago, coupled with her timely sets and defensive strategy, the Trojans came together behind her to capture four of six sets in the first tournament of the season which was rescheduled from last Wednesday.

“She came up to me and said she wanted to play middle for a while,” Kench said with a grin. “I’m thinking, no way… you have the best hands I’ve seen. You are my setter.”
