Junior Blue Devils Win
Alex Fillipoff knows his team performs well under pressure. In fact, they seem to thrive on being a few points down, then rallying back to win the set.
That fighting spirit served the junior boys volleyball team at Perth and District Collegiate Institute well Wednesday afternoon, when it captured the Lanark County trophy.
It’s the first time that the junior team from PDCI has its name on the Lanark County trophy.
“It feels great for us to be here now, holding the trophy,” said Fillipoff, captain of the team. “Last year we made it to the finals, but lost so we’re all really happy to be moving on to the next level.”
