World Championships Draw Live
The Drawing of Lots for the FIVB 2010 Men’s Volleyball World Championships will be streamed live by official host broadcaster RAI TV on the FIVB website this afternoon.
The celebrated event will take place at 17:00 (2 pm Canada EST) from Rome and volleyball fans around the world can view the hour long ceremony live on RaiSport Piu and www.fivb.org.
A record-breaking number of nations (112) participated in the year-long qualifying process before 22 countries including Canada will join hosts Italy and the defending champions Brazil in the final round.
A total of 24 countries will be drawn across six pools for the 17th edition of the FIVB Men’s World Championships, which will be held across 10 different cities in Italy from September 24-October 10, 2010. The host nation Italy and the first 11 teams in the world ranking will be automatically placed according to the serpentine system with the following 12 teams drawn into pools.
