Canada’s Tiffany Dodds was elected the Most Valuable Player of the last qualifier tournament in NORCECA for the Final Round of next year’s FIVB Women’s World Championship. Canada along with Costa Rica secured the last two remaining spots for the event being held in Japan, next October.
“I have been with the national team for the past five years and in comparison with other years I feel that this is a more united team,” said Dodds before departing.
Dodds took home the recognition as MVP and Best Attacker while her teammate Tasha Holness was named Best Blocker.
Tiff, as she is called by her teammates, has a plenty of international experience having participated in the Spanish Super League and in the Korean Volleyball League.
“[Playing in] Korea opened my eyes, because the training system is so very heavy and they [have gone] back to the old school,” said Dodds.
