Team Canada has strong start in Beirut

Canada loses opener NORCECA Championships

BAYAMON, Puerto Rico – Canada lost 25-20, 25-22, 25-20 to the Dominican Republic on Tuesday in its opening match at the eight-country women’s volleyball NORCECA (the North, Central and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation) Championships.

Six of the eight teams at this tournament are headed to next year’s worlds in Japan including Canada.

Wildcats Early Season Victory

The Widdifield Wildcats junior boys volleyball team started off their season Saturday, September 12, by winning the Trojan Invitational volleyball tournament, beating Sudbury’s Lockerby Vikings in the final.
