Gold In Our Sights
Ontario women will face Manitoba early Saturday morning in the gold medal final after beating Alberta easily in straight sets in their semi-final match played earlier Friday. 3-0 (25-20, 25-22, 25-19).
Alberta will now play Nova Scotia for bronze. Nova Scotia had been a surprise standout in this competition, winning three out of four of their matches and finishing second behind Ontario in their mutual pool.
Team Ontario men will face off against Alberta in their gold medal final tomorrow morning. They took care of business by defeating Manitoba handily in three straight sets also; 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-22). BC will play Manitoba for bronze.
Congratulations to both our teams for an outstanding effort. And good luck in the gold medal final.
