Our Newest International Referee
We are very pleased to announce that Andy Cameron has successfully completed the FIVB International Referee Course held May 5-13, 2009 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The course included nineteen candidates from around the world, and Andy passed both the theory and the practical exams with flying colours. His confirmation as an International Referee will be finalized upon completion of his mandatory FIVB assignments, which are already being planned.
Andy Cameron lives in Ottawa with his wife Jayne and sons Graeme and Devon, and has been a Volleyball Canada National Referee for the past ten years. In addition to his career as a referee, Andy has served for the past four years as the Operations Chair of Ontario Volleyball’s Officials’ Committee, and he is also a certified Volleyball Canada Referee Supervisor.
The Officials’ Committee is very proud of all Andy’s accomplishments, and we are confident that he will continue to make a significant contribution to the growth and development of volleyball referees in our province. Please join us in congratulating Andy on his promotion.
