Mavericks Capture National Title
Local Ottawa team the Maverick Mustangs have won the gold medal in the 18U men’s division in this weekend’s 17U/18U Canadian Open Volleyball Championships at Carleton University.
A large crowd of supporters cheered them on as they won against the BISONS (Manitoba, AB) in two sets 25-16, 25-12.
“It’s great to win,” said head coach Jeffrey Mooney. “But it’s even greater to win on home court. There’s nothing better than that.”
