Webcast 17-18U National Championships

Over 3000 coaches and athletes from 216 different teams will battle it out on courts across Ottawa today for the first day of the 17U/18U Canadian Open Volleyball Championships. The tournament, which will utilize 32 different courts at six different venues over three days, showcases many of the top players in Canada at the 17-year-old and 18-year-old age levels. Many players at the 18U level have already been recruited to universities in Canada and the United States, however numerous scouts from Canadian and American universities and colleges are expected to be in attendance to keep a close eye on the players in the 17U and 18U divisions.

In the 18U women’s division, high-profile club Durham Attack Black from Oshawa, Ontario will try to finish off their run as national champions at the 14U, 15U, 16U and 17U levels. It is their last year together as a team, and the pressure is on for them to do well.

Volleyball Canada is excited to announce an exclusive partnership with SSN Canada to broadcast games and special events live via webcast.

Gold medal games for the 17U and 18U championships will be shown via webcast on the SSN network this weekend on Sunday, May 3rd.  Family and friends will be able to watch live at http://volleyball.ssncanada.ca
