14U Blizzard Victorious
The North Bay Blizzard under-14 girls volleyball team made the most of their hometown advantage, Saturday.
The Blizzard, representing the North Bay Youth Volleyball Club, won gold in a 12-team OVA Challenge Cup tournament at Chippewa Secondary School.
The Blizzard won all five of their matches Saturday against Tier 1 clubs from throughout the province. After beating the Barrie Elites in the semifinal, the Blizzard swept the province’s No. 3-ranked under-14 team, the Aurora Storm Twisters, in the championship final (25-21, 25-11).
