Rapids Get a Jump on Season
The Niagara Rapids 17U girls volleyball team was very close to getting their season off to a perfect start.
At the 18U McGregor Cup Championship in London, where they kicked off their OVA season Saturday, January 17, the Rapids advanced all the way to the gold medal game but lost to Peel Selects, an 18U team, 25-15 and 25-9.
It was a day the Rapids coaches were proud of their team as they had sailed through the competition with four straight wins leading up to the gold medal final.
Niagara headed back to London, Ontario, Saturday to compete in the under-17 Premier Division.
