Ryerson Rammed

The Western men’s volleyball team took down top-notch McMaster.
Now, they’ve cooled off red-hot Ryerson.
The Mustangs received 19 kills and four solo blocks from Londoner Eric Simon and reeled off a four-set victory at Alumni Hall on Saturday to end the Rams’ eight-game winning streak.
Western, playing without regular Kyle Bryce (Achilles tendon), won the first set 25-21, dropped the second 23-25, then closed out the Rams 25-19 and 25-16. St. Marys native Dan Miller provided 10 kills and five blocks while Exeter’s Reid Halpenny had eight kills and 11 defensive digs in the match.

Western faces winless Royal Military College on Friday and a strong Queen’s side (13-3) on Saturday.
Both matches start at 8 p.m.
