One would wonder how a 6-foot-3 girl from Cambridge, Ontario, got into playing volleyball.
It’s simple – because her two best friends did.
“I started playing volleyball because my two best friends did,” Stephanie Neville said. “My seventh grade gym teacher told me that I had the potential to be good because I was tall and athletic.”…
Neville was not just a volleyball stand-out at Jacob Hespeler High School. She also played field hockey, tennis, soccer, and was named MVP in badminton her last three seasons. “The first time I got the Female Athlete of the Year, I wasn’t expecting it,” Neville said. “That was huge because it inspired me to continue in athletics.”
