McLellan Scores Honour
Barrie native Meagan McLellan has been named the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association Female Athlete of the Week.
McLellan, a fifth-year Police Foundations student, was instrumental in leading her team, the Georgian Grizzlies, to three wins in the past week. In a 3-1 win (25-22, 24-26, 25-17, 25-13) over the La Cite Coyotes, she had 19 points (13 kills, four blocks, two aces).
Against the first-place Algonquin Thunder, McLelland racked up 29 points (20 kills, six blocks, three aces) in a 3-1 (25-17, 17-25, 25-17, 25-22) upset victory.
