Trojans Letter Perfect

When the North Park Collegiate Trojans junior boys volleyball team lost its first game of the season, they did an unusual thing.
“The kids wrote us a letter after the first game of the season,”NPC coach Andrew Rawls said on Wednesday, after his team captured the Brant County championship with a 25-16, 25-21, 20- 25 and 25-23 victory against the Paris District High School Panthers at NPC.
“They were apologizing for losing. We told them it was okay, that they could start a new streak for us.”
Losing isn’t usually a big deal, but the NPC junior boys volleyball team hasn’t done much of it during the past three seasons. During that time, the Trojans have lost just one game — the first one of this season — in Brant County play, hence the letter to their coaches.
