Now that they’re all on the same volleyball team at Redeemer University College, maybe brothers Jesse, Joshua and Joel Dykxhoorn won’t squabble with each other.
“We used to play (volleyball) together out in the back yard where we set up a net,” Jesse recalled before a recent Redeemer Royals practice.”It started out not too competitive, but it often ended up in a fight.”
Those games took place on a grass surface at the family’s home in Holland Marsh, Ont. And many were makeshift 2-on-1 contests involving just the brothers.
