Vernon Duo Claim Ninth at Beach Nationals
The Vernon duo of Lenai Schmidt and Monica Neilson earned a ninth-place finish at the Beach National Volleyball Championships last weekend at Ashbridge’s Bay in Toronto. Schmidt and Neilson were defeated in the single elimination playoff round (22-24, 11-21) by Ontario’s Rosso/Krizmanich, who went on to win the
bronze medal in the highly competitive U18 girls division.
