Beach Volleyball Tandem Fifth at Nationals
August 31, 2008 – The beach volleyball team of Liz Maloney and Mississauga’s Kara Zakrzewski earned a split against the Quebec tandem of Anouk Boileau and Marie-Christine Mondor over the weekend.
Unfortunately, it was the wrong split.
After defeating Boileau and Mondor in preliminary round action at the Canadian Beach Volleyball Championships at Toronto’s Ashbridges Bay, Maloney and Zakrzewski lost the all-important quarter-final match in three sets earlier today, to place fifth in the Women’s first division.
