Josh Binstock is on top of the Canadian beach volleyball world.
The 27-year-old Richmond Hill resident can lay claim to that title after he joined forces with Matt Zbyszewski, 27, of Toronto to win the recent Canadian National Championships on the sands of Ashbridges Bay in Toronto.

A healthy rivalry has developed in Brant County high school senior boys volleyball between the North Park Collegiate Trojans and Paris District High School Panthers.
They have battled back and forth for the Brant County championship and a chance to represent this area at the Central Western Ontario Secondary Schools Association championships.

It was a summer of sand, sun and championships for Victoria Altomare.
Along with partner Melissa Humana-Paredes they stacked their trophy case, winning prestigious beach volleyball tournaments in Canada and the United States. The victories began in July when the duo captured the under 18 U.S. Beach Nationals crown in California.

Grade 10 Saltfleet volleyball player Taylor Simons finished her 2008 beach volleyball season in Ashbridges Bay with yet more hardware and many more accomplishments.
Simons, the defending 2007 Provincial and National Beach Volleyball Champion, had to move up an age division this year and compete against players up to two years her senior.
