Jensen Finds Time with Ontario Squad ‘A Learning Experience’
Now that she has seen up close the highest calibre of high school-age volleyball in this country, Georgetown South’s Chelsea Jensen can’t wait to do it all again next year.
The 17-year-old played the outside hitter and libero positions for Ontario’s second entry at the under-18 girls’ National Team Challenge Cup tournament recently in Calgary, in which they placed sixth out of 12 teams, going 4-1 in the preliminary round despite being one of the younger teams in the draw. Jensen endured a lengthy tryout process in order to make the Ontario U17 team for the NTCC tourney, which was won by the Ontario U18 girls.
